Bland County Historical Society News December
2008 Letter from the President 2008 will be remembered for many things
associated with our Organization, however, our Board of Directors will see it
as a new beginning. As announced in our September Membership
meeting, we have negotiated with the County Of Bland to return Wolf Creek
Indian Village and Museum back to them as the deed called for, “if and
when BCHS “ceased to operate” WCIV&M. We have had to make
some tough decision and this seems the best alternative for both Wolf Creek
Indian Village & Museum and for BCHS. The tentative date to make this
transfer is January 1, 2009. Our New location will be the old Bland County
Sheriff’s Office. It will become our new address and our first new
project! We invite all members to help in this transition. There will be lots of needs to be met and we
will be looking forward to seeing you and all of your talents and ideas at
